Belzec Review:
Belzec play what a lot of people would call true black metal. Fast guitar riffing, harsh vocals, fast drumming and a raw production, akin to early Darkthrone.
The music overall is quite interesting. The riffs are usually quite catchy and good and they change a lot to maintain your interest. As alluded to above, they are also aggressive and fast. In short the riffs are very good for the most part.
The vocals are quite good. They are harsh, cold and enraged. Strangely enough though, the vocals tend to change a fair bit throughout the entire album. For example of "Invoking the Swords of Black Art" the vocals sound a lot different than they do on "Under the Guillotine from Hell". In "Invoking the Swords of Black Art" they are more or less in the background, where in "Under the Guillotine from Hell" they are in the foreground with the mix.
The drumming for the most part is good. Don't be expecting some intense blast beating here, drumming with flares of skill. Although the drummer really isn't as good as of his European counter-parts, he still gets the job done, and does a pretty good job as well.
